A new hobby?

I've started clicking pics. I don't have a DSLR or anything fancy.. just a phone with a 5 MP camera, but that would be a bad excuse to not start a  hobby. I can always get a better camera later.

Now what to take a pic of? Well, theres.. theres everything. Literally everything. What not to take a pic of? I figure anything can be photographed. And photographed in a way that captures it's beauty. That's the thing, isn't it? Anything and everything is beautiful. You just need to capture the beauty.

Anyways, so let's see where I go with this. It's going to be fun at the least.

On writing and reading

Everyday, whatever you want, whatever you feel, just write. Just write. Do it everyday. Write out your frustrations, things left unsaid, questions left unanswered, situations unexplored. We go to sleep with so much baggage. It needs an outlet. This might just be mine. Not everything I write becomes a post. Some of the best stuff I've written won't ever come out of the notebook... yes, it's written on paper. I've once actually written some stuff on paper and actually set it on fire after I had everything I needed to. It was... I don't know, it left me unencumbered.

And I love to read what others have written. Read a close friends blog recently. It was awesome reading her thought process. How she started, and how she progressed. Her theme of blog was art, but the blog was about so much more than that. It was a piece of her, her thoughts and musings. There were no spectacular revelations in it, but it was still great reading her blog. And it was special since there aren't many people who know about her blog.

I love reading fanfiction. It's amazing what people can see. Some missing moments between people. The interludes. That stuff is important. It's tough to explain why sometimes. It's like.. it gives life to the characters. The authors do a great job of creating universes for us to explore. But that's it. People don't. I think spider-man are the only movies where funerals were given the importance they deserve. Heroes aren't unbreakable. Tony Stark may have made Iron Man but it took torture and waterboarding and shrapnel in his heart.
There's another facet to fanfictions, it's deviations. It's more popular since the possibilities are limitless. Voldemort is smart and hocruxes aren't the only things that can keep you alive. This is just one example, there's just so much more. Anything I say will not be able to do justice to it.

On the flipside though, it is important to recognize what fanfiction is. It's fiction about fiction. In the scheme of the other things. In comparison to life, it's unimportant. It's easy to fall into the abyss. Get lost and explore. It's tough to feel that it's just fiction.. Like you intellectually know that you will weigh one-sixth your weight on the moon, but it's an altogether different thing to feel it.

Life is, somewhat surprisingly objectively speaking (when you consider there's no magic, vampires, hulk, etc in RL), a much much bigger world than any world of fanfiction. So many places to to travel. Sights to see. Scents to breathe. Sounds to hear. Flavors to taste. Touches, feelings, emotions. Sometimes just.. just being in a moment, leaving everything behind, nothing to mark the minutes. It's amazing. It's life.

When I started writing this post, I didn't really have anything to write. And now see. I could probably write a lot more still. Writing is a lot like reading I think. It's exploring and uncovering, just instead of a book or an article, it's looking inside of you.

Hmmm....

So... a blog. I wonder if this blog will be just a personal thing or something I'll share with my friends and whoever. It's... its ridiculously easy sometimes. To write everything I'm feeling- my musings, my thoughts and whatever else I have in mind. It shouldn't be, but I guess with how much I love reading and writing, this was unavoidable.

The clock shows 11.53 pm right now. And I'm not tired at all (yawns). Watching TV right now. Well not really, it's just on, filling the background with some noise. I should be doing some work. There's a lot to do and so little time. Time's like sand, slips away especially fast when you try to hold it still.

Anyways enough of my rambling. So what do I write about? I should have a theme for this blog, though I don't have much idea what it can be. I'll decide it later, back's hurting now since I'm hunched over my laptop. If anyone does somehow stumble here, do give me suggestions for the theme.

C'ya later guys
